At a gala ceremony in Berlin, Traffic accepted the 2012 Deutscher Preis für Online Kommunikation for Best Online Film. Awarded to our campaign for the UN Intl. Year of Forests, we were joined on stage by the German Forest Service, with whom we're proud to share this honour. Watch the winning film here.


In a major expansion, we're proud to announce a global partnership with renowned UK agency Tomato. Along with joint creative collaboration on worldwide projects and productions, Traffic will solely represent Tomato directors in Europe and America, with a US office also in development. Our latest film series features Berlin artists Hither Yon and their avant garde Superego III installation. Part I is a portrait of the group and their process. Part II is a time lapse journey through the making

The UN announced that our Mensch Wald campaign has been selected as their global forest initiative
for 2012. Our multimedia and film concept will be expanded to bring the world together in showing how the forest inspires them. We look forward to working with the UN to make it happen. Watch the webcast.

US design collective Hither Yon is coming to Traffic for a first of its kind gallery project. Over the next week, our Mitte office will become a dynamic living installation, with every wall serving as a mural canvas. The project will also be captured in a short documentary by Traffic and director Ben Wisdorf.

Early 2012 will see the launch of our corporate and multimedia brand transformation for international laser manufacturer A.P.E. While work continues, we’re proud to end the year with new web, event and trade films to support their latest innovations: PulseLink and LX Spider. Watch them here.

Our UN International Year of Forests film has been chosen for the showcase at this year’s Communicate conference, which brings together Europe's leading environmental NGOs, academics, policy makers and business leaders. Our thanks to the Bristol Natural History Consortium and Icon Films for inviting us.

Voyage Through Climate Change, our film about the world record North Pole Passages expedition, has been premiered online by project partner Google. Airing on Google’s blogs and YouTube channels, the film includes never seen footage plus the first post-voyage crew interviews. Watch it here.

Our thanks to California’s Pepperdine University for inviting us to lecture at their Seaver College School of Communications. Along with speaking about the future of multimedia and film, we were delighted to host a series of student Q&As and workshops. Already looking forward to doing it again next year.

Traffic has been appointed to capture Grohe’s 7-year journey to award-winning design icon. From economic crisis to global expansion, the film will go behind the scenes to showcase one of the most amazing growth stories in German manufacturing history. Including a look at Grohe design projects worldwide.

We’re excited to have Silke Kästner join us as the second artist to exhibit at our in-house gallery.
Silke has contributed two large canvases that have transformed our office with colour. Mobility is the theme of her paintings and worldwide projects.

October will find us in America for two honours from the Jackson Hole Wildlife Film Festival.
Our Creative Director, Len Dickter, will join a panel of filmmakers to discuss the integration of interactive and film.

Traffic joined with global PR agency Edelman to film a series of short films for Samsung. In a single day from East to West Berlin, we interviewed consumers of all ages and cultures about the future of technology. The result will be unveiled during Samsung’s keynote address at IFA Berlin.

Traffic, music label 3p and director Katja Kuhl just completed a collaboration with hit German soul trio Glashaus. To support the UN International Year of Forests, the band recorded a new orchestral version of their single Light, and filmed a music video exclusive to Mensch Wald. Download the mp3.

Just 48 hours after its launch, W&V chose our latest film for Mensch Wald as Campaign of the Day. Directed by Axel Breuer under license from Activision, “Call of the Forest” follows three soldiers from the game Call of Duty as they discover the peace of the real woods. Read the article.

Fresh from a collaboration with Indian songwriters You & I., guitar legend Stoppok worked with Traffic to create an incredible Bangla version of the classic German forest nursery rhyme Männlein. Both the song and video are exclusive to Mensch Wald. Download the mp3.

Few things inspire us more than original art, and the process of its creation. So, we invited a group of artists to turn our office into a gallery of hand-chosen work. It's an exhibit that will change every 8 weeks. First to display is illustrator Martin Markes.

From Silicon Valley pioneers to death defying explorers, we found a lot of inspiration at TEDx Munich. So many brilliant speakers and talks that it made our heads spin. Huge thanks to the TEDx team for inviting us. Watch the highlights.

Our first films for A.P.E. Berlin are complete, and we’ve become totally fascinated by what laser beams can do. Science is a beautiful thing. So was the performance of our terrific cast and crew.
